More than 3,000 people have been vaccinated in Pollachi: Health officials
Coimbatore: Vaccination work has resumed today in Coimbatore district after a shortage of vaccines. Pollachi Nachimuthu Maternity Hospital, Vadugapalayam, Kamatchi Nagar, Kanchampatti, Samathur vaccinated people between the ages of 18 and 45 with Covishield and it is also being carried out at primary health centers in various parts of the country.
Tokens were issued at all centers and the public has been standing in long queues since morning and getting vaccinated. Health department said today, more than 3,000 people have been vaccinated. At the Vadugapalayam Vaccination Center, the public bumped into each other without following social distancing.

Traffic police Venkatesh who was on security duty there pleaded through loudspeakers to everyone to follow social distancing citing that cases were increasing.
He said,"Please follow social distancing and wear face masks. Police volunteers are working day and night to protect you from infection. Please follow the guidelines laid down by the government."

But it was disappointing that to see people flout social distancing.
