Pollachi: On the eve of late former Chief Minister Karunanidhi's 98th birth anniversary, DMK cadres in Pollachi distributed food to the poor and needy.
DMK cadres are providing welfare assistance to the poor across Tamil Nadu. As part of the commemorative event, a floral tribute was offered to Kalaignar's portrait, led by the Deputy Chairman of the State Agricultural Team Tamilmani in the JJ Nagar area of Achipatti Panchayat, on behalf of Coimbatore District TMC and Tasmac Trade Union.
Later, food parcels were distributed to 500 needy people as well as to migrants living in huts on Coimbatore Road.
