Government of Tamil Nadu's measures to control coronavirus gives great hope: Indian Textile Entrepreneurs Federation thanks government
Coimbatore: Textile Entrepreneurs Federation of India (ITF), The convener, Prabhu Damodaran, said in a statement, "The impact of the second wave of Covid-19 is gradually diminishing. The Government of Tamil Nadu is taking various measures on a wartime basis to deal with this disaster.
1. During difficult times, when those in charge of leadership take the lead and continue to express open opinions in a consistent manner, there is hope that everyone will be able to cope with this period. The fact that the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is implementing these good deeds very well gives hope to the entrepreneurs.
2. The most appropriate guidelines are issued to the industry by the Chief Minister's Office and the Ministry of Labor. A scientific approach is followed with a continuous understanding of plans for the next phase and the exchange of information. Thus, we, too, are able to provide a clear perspective to other traders.
3. The service of the Tamil Nadu Health Department and its staff is highly commendable for its initiative in conducting vaccination camps for workers in factories and for overcoming the reluctance of some workers to be vaccinated.
4. From the lessons learned last year, we have been focusing on designing outstanding programs in our factories which have stopped the operation of the factories during this lockdown period and taking care of all the needs of the Tamil and north Indian workers staying in the factories, including health and mental health, and vaccinating them.
5. Among the relaxations to be announced in the coming week, the plants will be able to start operating with preventive controls to operate with in-house staff.
6. Demand for our products is increasing as the textile market in the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom, is returning to normal as a result of vaccinations."
The statement said they hope that our Tamil Nadu textile export sector will play a key role in the economic recovery of Tamil Nadu after lockdown.
