Tirupur: The corpse of a youth with severe wounds on the head and body has been recovered in Tirupur by the police who are also investigating the crime.

It is reported that the police had been informed that the body of a youth was found with serious injuries in the old clothes sorting waste dump on ABT Road behind the Thennambalayam Farmers Market in Tirupur Corporation. Upon receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot to recover the body and had it sent to the Tirupur Government General Hospital Medical College, for autopsy.
During the investigation, the police discovered that the murdered youth Shamsuddin (23) hailed from MGR Colony in Tirupur. His mobile phone was switched off during lunch time when a call was made from his home to check about his lunch plans since he had spent the morning with his friends.
This aroused suspicion that there could be foul play. Police are investigating the information disclosed by his friends that Shamsuddin's wounded body was found at the place where they usually meet. The murder of the youth has caused grief amongst kin and neighbours in the area.
