32,417 vacancies remain vacant in Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation, according to information gained from 'RTI'
Coimbatore: Information was sought on behalf of the Consumer Awareness and Safety Association under the Right to Information Act regarding vacancies in the Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation. Tamil Nadu Electricity Generating and Distribution Corporation has revealed that 32,417 vacancies are yet to be filled.
Ravi Shankar, the President of the Consumer Awareness and Safety Association (CAPA) said, “I asked about the details of vacancies in the Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation through the Right to Information Act. All zones except the Erode zone have reported. Accordingly, a total of 32,417 vacancies are available across Tamil Nadu. We have written to Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji with documents obtained under the Right to Information Act to fill the vacancies as soon as possible. Filling the vacancies quickly will reduce the extra workload for the existing employees and enable them to carry out electrical work efficiently without any delay," he added.
