Revenue department shuts grocery and meat shop in Thamaraikulam area near Kinathukadavu
Coimbatore: Covid monitoring officials received information that goods are being sold in the black in grocery and meat shops in Thamaraikulam area near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district.
It was reported that locals in the area were buying from a shop that was locked at the entrance but had a back door.
Officers searched the store and shockingly found that the store was also engaged in the sale of illicit drugs. The officials confiscated the drugs, locked the shop, took away the keys from the owner of the store and fined him.
Similarly, the officials have also confiscated meat from a store operating illegally in the area and initiated action against the owner of the store.
