Pollachi Municipality seals popular clothing store in Pollachi due to non-payment of rent amounting to Rs. 22 lakhs
Coimbatore: Anbu Silks, a textile store which operates in a municipality building near the Pollachi-Udumalai road junction reportedly has a debt of Rs. 2,15,000 as rent to the Municipality which has not been cleared for the past 10 months.
The authorities repeatedly sent notices and warned the owner of the store in person but in vain. Hence, officials led by the Municipal Revenue Officer Venkateswaran sealed the store for non-payment of rent which had accrued to Rs. 22 lakhs.
