Pollachi Collector's Office held a consultative meeting to distribute vegetables and groceries to people at home during complete lockdown
Coimbatore: A complete lockdown has been imposed in Tamil Nadu to control the spread of coronavirus.
Following this, vegetables and fruits are being distributed by carts and vehicles. As the lockdown has been extended to June 7, the government has ordered traders to get groceries unrestricted and sell them by vehicle with the permission of the Revenue Department.
Following this, a consultation meeting was held at the Pollachi Collectorate under the chairmanship of Interview Assistant Thanigaivel, Municipal Commissioner Gandirajan and Deputy Superintendent of Police Sivakumar. It was advised to sell groceries and vegetables online, receive orders from the public by phone and deliver at their doorstep. Vehicles doing business without permission have been warned that their vehicles will be confiscated.
