Distributors bought groceries at grocery stores on Range Counter Road to distribute groceries by autos in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: A complete lockdown has been imposed in Tamil Nadu as the second wave of the Coronavirus. As a result, all the grocery stores and vegetable shops are closed and groceries and vegetables are being distributed to the public by vehicles.
Distributors bought groceries at grocery stores on Range Gowder Road to distribute groceries by push carts and autos to households in the Corporation areas as the Corporation Commissioner had announced that various vegetables and groceries would be distributed by mobile vehicles in Coimbatore district.
Distributors bought groceries through more than 50 grocery stores in the area. But it is said that the shopkeepers sold the groceries at high prices in various shops hence they bought a limited quantity of groceries and distributed them to the people.
This has led to allegations that various households in the Corporation areas are not getting the required items. Hence they have demanded for grocery store owners to sell groceries at reasonable prices.
