Notorious thief arrested under Goondas Act in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: A notorious thief has been arrested and jailed today in Coimbatore, under the Goondas Act.
Subhash (28), son of Muralitharan of Puliyakulam, Coimbatore who has been involved in a series of robberies in Karamadai police station border in Coimbatore district has been directed by Coimbatore District Collector S Nagarajan to be booked under the Goondas Act, on the recommendation of the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, Selvanagaratnam in an order issued on May 31.
Based on the order, Subhash was imprisoned in Coimbatore Central Jail. It is to be noted that cases against Subhash are pending at various police stations in Coimbatore.
