Corporation Commissioner permits delivery of groceries by local stores within the ward with prior permission
Coimbatore: In order to avoid overcrowding in Coimbatore Corporation area so as to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the Revenue Disaster Management Department Government Order No.391 dated 29.05.2021 has permitted door-to-door selling of groceries through vehicles or trolleys by local stores in their respective areas with permission from local bodies. Traders have been instructed to go door-to-door delivering the items that customers can request online and over the phone from 7 am to 6 pm.
The Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer, P Kumaravel Pandian has hence allowed selling groceries in vehicles and trolleys within the Corporation area from 7 am to 6 pm by adhering to Covid preventive measures.
