K. Ramachandran, Ministry of Forests and R. Sakkarapani Minister of Food and Civil Supply, visited and inspected Covid-19 control rooms in 5 zones of Coimbatore Corporation
Coimbatore: Minister of Forests K. Ramachandran and Minster of Food and Civil Supply inspected the work of uploading the details of the isolated persons in the houses in the coronavirus control room set up in the Corporation Kalaiarangam in West Zone.
They inspected the uploading of coronavirus prevention work on the computer in the 5 zones of the Corporation in the Coronavirus Control Room at the Corporation Head Office, Coimbatore. The details of the isolated persons will be uploaded on the computer in the coronavirus control room set up at the Corporation Kalaiarangam, West Zone.

During the inspection, the Corporation Commissioner P. Kumaravel Pandian were accompanied by the Corporatiom Deputy Commissioner S. Madhuranthagi, and the officers of the Corporation.

Health workers went door-to-door to collect details of tests for colds, flu and fever and upload details at the computer center in the coronavirus control room set up at the Coimbatore corporation head office and also regarding the details of the sale of vegetables by street vehicles in all the 5 zones of the Corporation. Details of victims of coronavirus infection, details of isolated areas, details of daily medical camps, door-to-door health workers' details and assignments were uploaded.
Minister met the press and said, "Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is taking various preventive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. The daily number of cases in Coimbatore ranges from 1500 to 1800. An average of 5000 samples are collected daily in all the zones of the corporation. Corporation health workers are involved to collect details onsymptoms such as cold and flu in 21,00,433 households. 2400 health workers of the corporation are involved in these activities. Medical camps are being conducted in all the 5 zones of the Corporation. The total number of control areas in the Corporation is 524. 43 vehicles are involved in prayed with disinfectant. Yesterday alone 2938 medical kit tablets were distributed. Permission has been granted for 70 vehicles by the corporation, 200 vehicles by horticulture and 2537 private vehicles for sale of vegetables.
160 metric tonnes of vegetables have been sold through 1645 vehicles. As of yesterday, 7078 people have been vaccinated against coronavirus. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is taking various preventive measures to control the disease.
