Pollachi Jayaraman accuses lack of proper planning to vaccinate that increases risk of coronavirus spreading due to overcrowding
Coimbatore: Health officials had announced that the vaccine would be given todayat the Nachimuthu Maternity Hospital near the Pollachi Central Bus Stand.

As a result, thousands of people gathered at the vaccination center from 7 am today and waited in long queues. Pollachi Assembly Member Pollachi Jayaraman inspected the vaccination center yesterday.
The women there complained that they had to wait several hours to be vaccinated. Later, during an interview given to the media by Pollachi Jayaraman he said the people of Pollachi are on high alert for vaccination. He insisted that authorities must plan to summon the public, taking into account how many vaccines are available ward-wise if it is an urban area.
He said factory workers must be vaccinated and action must be taken to put them in the respective area as there is a risk of spreading when thousands of people are brought to same place.
