Unorganised Construction Workers Union thanks Tamilnadu CM MK Stalin for taking Immediate solution on submitted requests
Coimbatore: The Unorganised Construction Workers Union thanked the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu who directed the department to take immediate action on two of the five demands submitted on behalf of all the construction and non-organizational unions and the remaining requests would be considered soon.
Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Nilgiris District Anna Construction Unorganized Trade Union Secretary Murugesan said in a statement, “The Joint action committee coordinator has issued a statement calling for the immediate payment of pension benefits to transport workers. While their government was in power for 10 years, Edappadi Palanisamy and O Panneerselvam never did this. It acted without any concern or thought for the trade union assembly or the welfare of the workers and even in the AIADMK election manifesto there was no mention on the welfare of the workers.
It is like shedding crocodile tears to give a voice to the transport workers now that the retirement age has been continuously raised considering the financial situation. AIADMK Chief Coordinator O.Panneerselvam or anyone else don’t have the moral right to speak about the welfare of the workers except the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin has directed the department to take action on two of the five requests and expedite consideration of other requests. We thank him on behalf of all the workers.”
