Liquor store robber arrested in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: On May 26th night, unidentified persons broke into the Kakkapalayam Government Liquor Store within the boundaries of the Annur Police Station, Mettupalayam, Coimbatore District and stole about 91,000 bottles of liquor.
Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Selvanagarathinam filed a case based on a complaint lodged by the liquor store manager, Thavamani.
Under the supervision of Mettupalayam Sub-Divisional Superintendent of Police Arokkiyaraj, a team led by Annur Police Station Inspector Venkatesh led by Assistant Inspector Silambarasan Constable Gurusami and Cyber Crime Chief Constable Maheshkumar arrived at the station to interrogate the suspect who was standing near the Pachapalayam liquor store. It has been revealed that he is Sakthivel, son of Chinnathambi from Madurai, who is currently residing in Sulur, Chengandurai.
Sakthivel was therefore arrested and remanded in judicial custody. Police are also conducting a serious investigation to nab three more individuals who are in hiding.
