Bikes and autos seized for violating complete lockdown in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: 45 vehicles, including an auto, were seized for violating complete lockdown in Coimbatore. Vadavalli police conducted an intensive vehicle search.
Except people going for some essential needs and medical reasons those who roamed the vehicles unnecessarily were caught, case was registered and the vehicles were confiscated. In the last 2 days alone, 45 vehicles, including 32 two-wheelers and 13 autos has been seized. On the orders of Coimbatore District SP Selvarathinam, 4 special teams led by Thondamuthur Goods Inspector Shasta have been deployed under the supervision of DSP Srinivasalu to catch people wandering in streets and those involving in robbery.
