Pollachi legislator Jayaraman demands that oxygen facilities be provided at Pollachi Government Hospital to treat the poor
Coimbatore: Vaccination is being carried out at the Vadugapalayam Primary Health Center near Pollachi. This was inspected by former Deputy Speaker and Pollachi Assembly MLA Jayaraman today.
He later told reporters that since Pollachi is a border area of Kerala, many traders including coconut traders and cattle traders come to Pollachi. Currently a only small number are vaccinated and urged that more people from all walks of life be vaccinated without delay. He asked beds with oxygen and ventilator facilities should be set up in the newly constructed building of Pollachi Government Hospital.
He said proper treatment is not available there and hence demanded that the government must take action to provide treatment in a government hospital with all facilities. The MLA said he was ready to provide funds from the MLA fund to set up an oxygen tanker at the Pollachi Government Hospital.
