According to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin, a Districtwise Task Force has been set up at the district level to identify and assist the children of parents who have died of the corona epidemic.
A deposit of Rs 5 lakh each will be made in the name of children who have lost their parents due to corona epidemic and are left without support and will be paid with interest at the age of 18.
The government will bear all the expenses including tuition and accommodation till graduation.
Three lakh rupees will be given as immediate relief to children who have lost their mother or father due to corona infection.
Children growing up with the support of a relative / guardian will be given a monthly stipend of Rs. 3,000 / - up to the age of 18 years.
Rs 5 lakh will be deposited for children who have already lost their mother or father and are currently losing another parent due to corona infection. Accommodation will be provided on a priority basis in government houses and hostels, with priority given to government welfare schemes. The scholarships will be monitored by a committee that specializes in their education and development.
