Coimbatore: Tamilnadu Chief Minister MK Stalin is coming down to Coimbatore to oversee the operations for controlling COVID-19 personally and take stock of the situations here. In a release he said, “The government is working hard to create a situation where it is not necessary for the public to come out unnecessarily.
I will be making a direct trip to Coimbatore tomorrow (May 30) in view of the increasing number in Coimbatore and surrounding districts. Since it is an emergency trip, I kindly request that none of the party executives to come welcoming and meeting me in person.
I want to continue to engage in the task of alleviating hunger based on the ‘Ondrinaivom Vaa’ program so that no one craves for food.We will create a situation where no one in Tamil Nadu is starving.”
The cases in Coimbatore have just come down yesterday from around 4700 cases to 3900 cases. Tamilnadu CM making a personal visit to Coimbatore will give more impetus to the COVID-19 control work in the region.
