Tamil Nadu government exempt pensioners from submitting certificates to prevent risk of Covid-19 spread


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu government has exempted pensioners from the submission of life certificate/digital life certificate through the Jeevan Pramaan portal for 2021 due to the pandemic. A G.O. issued by the Finance Department on May 26 said the decision was made following a request by the Pensioners Association and a proposal of the Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts.

Though pensioners could submit digital life certificate through the Jeevan Pramaan portal, to prevent risk of Covid-19 spread by insisting them to approach e-Sevai Common Service Centres this was also exempted as per the release by the government.
