Coimbatore college student's fourth new invention a low cost 'Signal Booster' tool to speed up internet speed

Coimbatore: A college student from Coimbatore has created a device called 'Signal Booster' which helps to keep the internet speed steady even if three people are using one modem at the same time. He plans to sell it at a much lower price than the tool currently on the market.

Bharathkumar, a BSc Electronics student at PSG College of Arts and Sciences, Coimbatore, said, “I started my endeavour by planning to produce a variety of high quality products at low prices that can be used by people. So far I have developed an automatic disinfectant machine, a bicycle made from scrap materials and a tool to help detect chemical levels (PH) in food. I have registered inventions under the Student Section of the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) of the Central Government and then formally marketed them."

He added, "I am currently working on a fourth product called 'Signal Booster'. By using this tool the signal booster tool will ensure that the internet speed is consistently available to all three users even when the Internet modem is used by 3 people simultaneously. Currently a similar tool is being sold in the market ₹5000. I have decided to sell this tool I have created for 1,500 rupees including taxes. I have designed this device not only to run on electricity but also to fit rechargeable batteries. All three works I have discovered so far have been well received and I hope this new tool will be well received."

It is to be noted that a student like Bharathkumar serves as a beacon for the youth who not knowing how to utilise their time effective during the lockdown.
