In a letter to Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin, CPIM Secretary of State K. Balakrishnan said, "The second wave of corona infection has badly affected Tamil Nadu. However, it is comforting to note that the government is gradually reducing the incidence of infections.
However, coronavirus infection is on the rise in Coimbatore district and the district is number one in the state. According to yesterday's government press release (26.5.2021) 4268 people have been affected by the epidemic. 35707 people are receiving treatment for infections.
