Public heave a sigh of relief as mobile vegetable vehicles arrive in city's Cheran Ma Nagar
Coimbatore: Owing to the complete lockdown enforced by the TN Government to curb the spread of Covid-19 infection, mobile vegetable vehicles are being used to distribute essentials to the public.

In Cheran Ma Nagar and surrounding areas, three licensed mobile vegetable vehicles of the Coimbatore Corporation were parked at various places in Cheran Ma Nagar on Thursday morning and vegetables were sold to the public.

The public in the area thanked the Corporation's initiative saying, "Vegetables are being sold at a reasonable price while being sold under the supervision of the authorities. Some vehicles have been licensed to another area and are selling vegetables in unrelated ward areas. This has made it difficult for the Corporation's efforts to reach the people. Authorities must monitor this and also make essential items available to the people without restriction in the coming days."
