People turn up eagerly to get vaccinated at camp held in Valparai High School
Coimbatore: To curb the spike in Covid-19 cases in Valparai area of Coimbatore district which has a population of about one lakh people, Covid vaccination camps have been set up across Valparai.

At the camp in Valparai High School, five rooms have been allotted for vaccination, where men and women can get vaccinated separately.

2,000 vaccinations are being administered in the Valparai area and 1,500 in the estate area.
3500 Covishield vaccines have already been administered in the first phase. The vaccination drive was kick-started by Valparai Tahsilhar Rajan and Health Department Chief, Dr. Babu Lasumanan. DMK City Secretary Paul Pandi, former City Council Chairman Kozhikadai Ganesan, Jay Bhaskar, Magudeeswaran and Kutty Selvam Sudhakar were present during the event.
