DMK executives welcome new Municipality Commissioner for Valparai
Coimbatore: Valparai in Coimbatore district is a municipality that has a population of over one lakh. The second wave of Covid-19 has been sweeping across Valparai.
About 200 people have been affected and due to the vacancy in the post of Municipal Commissioner, the preventive measures have been slow. A request was made on behalf of the DMK cadres in Valparai to immediately appoint a Commissioner for Valparai Municipality. Following this, Suresh, who was the In-charge Commissioner of Mettupalayam took over as the Municipality Commissioner of Valparai, today.
The new Municipality Commissioner was welcomed in an event led by the Valparai City Council Attorney Paul Pandi and was presented with a shawl. The event was attended by many including JBR Bhaskar, E K Ponnusamy, Ambika Subbaiah, Councilor Selvam, Sathyamoorthy and Tenzing.
