Coimbatore: District Coronavirus Prevention Monitoring Officer MA Siddiqui Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Revenue Department inspects West and Central zone in Coimbatore corporation. During the inspection the Corporation Commissioner P. Kumaravel Pandian was accompanied by Deputy Corporation Commissioner S Madhuranthagi.
District Coronavirus Prevention Monitoring Officer MA Siddiqui enquired regarding the methods used by health workers who went door-to-door to detect oxygen levels through pulse oxygen meter He consulted with health workers on methods to detect heat levels through thermometer.
Later he visited the Wholesale Vegetable Market at Mettupalayam Road, West Zone and asked tradersfor necessary assistance to sell vegetables to the public through vehicles within the stipulated time.
Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner inspected the sale of vegetables by mobile vehicles in Ward No. 41, Gandhi Nagar, North Zone, Coimbatore. The public was advised to wear masks when coming to buy vegetables and to observe social distancing, and to go to the nearest health center and get vaccinated. He then inspected health workers going door-to-door in the Peelamedu area of the North Zone, Ward no. 38.
He also inspected the Coronavirus Vaccination of the public at the Central Zone Gandhipuram CDMS Home Urban Primary Health Center and the work of spraying disinfectant by the sanitary staff at Gandhipuram Crosscut Road.
During the inspection, the Assistant Commissioners of North, Central and West Zones, Mahesh Kanakaraj, Sivasubramanian, Sundaraj, Zonal Health Officers and Corporation Officers were present.
