Central Government not taking action on agriculture laws even after six months of protest; DMK will strive to repeal these laws as promised - CM M K Stalin

Since Central Government is not taking action on agriculture laws even after six months of protest, DMK will strive to repeal these laws as promised: CM M K Stalin

Coimbatore: DMK Leader and CM M K assured farmers across Tamil Nadu saying, "Farmers across the country began their protest exactly six months ago against the three agricultural laws which were brought to the fore in defiance of parliamentary procedures.

It is a matter of concern that the Central Government has not yet come forward to withdraw those three agricultural laws out of respect for the legitimate demands and sentiments of the struggling farmers even upto this day, and has not tried to negotiate constructively and find a solution.

In the election manifesto of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) for the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, we promised to pass a resolution calling for the repeal of these three laws in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. I assure you that the promises made by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam to the farmers regarding agricultural laws will be fulfilled," reiterated the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
