AIADMK senior executive and former MLA K P Raju dies due to kidney ailment in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: K P Raju, a senior AIADMK executive and former MLA from Coimbatore who held various key responsibilities in AIADMK died on Wednesday owing to a kidney ailment.
From the time of the emergence of the AIADMK movement, K P Raju had great reverence for 'Amma' Jayalalithaa. He was senior and pioneer in the development of the party and in uniting Coimbatore district and was always available for party work and concerns of the public.
The AIADMK stalwart's demise is an irreplaceable loss for the AIADMK in the Kongu region. He was also affectionately known as Rajee as Coimbatore District Dairy Union President and has held various other party posts in AIADMK, including its Chairman, former Tamil Nadu Panchala Organization Chairman and former District Secretary. K P Raju had been receiving treatment for his kidney ailment for the past few days but tragically succumbed to the illness, today.
K P Raju was also elected as the 91st MLA from Perur constituency and served the people for five years.
