Estate doctors and Estate Management consultative meeting chaired by MP K Shanmugasundaram held to curb Covid-19 spread in Valparai
Coimbatore: With Covid-19 infection on the rise in Valparai with every passing day, a Coronavirus Treatment Center has been set up in Valparai from yesterday.

There are also 56 estate areas in Valparai area, where about one lakh people live. A management consultative meeting chaired by MP K Shanmugasundaram was held with the estate management and doctors of Estate Tata Coffee, PKD, Waterfalls, Woodbarrier, Jayasree, BPTC, Bariakara, etc. in Valparai to p\curb Covid-19 spread in Valparai area.

Tahsildar Rajan, Health Department Chief Dr. Babu Lakshmanan, Government Hospital Dean, Dr. Mahesh Anandi and political party cadres were present at the consultative meeting. They suggested vaccinating all people and setting up checkpoints in estate areas to protect workers. A decision was made at the consultative meeting to isolate those entering Valparai from outside.

A site was selected at the Government Hospital to set up the oxygen supply required for the Valparai Coronavirus Center. MP K Shanmugasundaram said 5,000 vaccines would be administered to all age groups between 18 to 44 years, from Wednesday.
