Coronavirus spread in Pollachi and its surroundings is increasing day by day. The number of patients in government hospitals and corona treatment centers is increasing. Following this, volunteers, political parties and the general public have been providing various assistance.
Alumni of the 1986 Municipal Boy's High School in Pollachi are living in various districts of Tamil Nadu. Students, including Suresh Thangavel, a former student from Pollachi who lives in the United States, were involved in donating immunizations and oxygen equipment, including masks, to Pollachi Government Hospital and Corona treatment centers at a cost of two lakh rupees. Alumni have said that this work will continue.
