Coimbatore: During the full curfew announced by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Corporation Commissioner discussed with the wholesale vegetable traders, supermarkets and restaurant owners about meeting the essential needs of the public.
Coimbatore: During the full curfew announced by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Corporation Commissioner discussed with the wholesale vegetable traders, supermarkets and restaurant owners about meeting the essential needs of the public.
During the full curfew announced by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Commissioner of the Corporation, B. Kumaravel Pandian, IAS, along with the wholesale vegetable traders, supermarkets, restaurant owners, and private officers will be present today (22.05.2021) at 4.00 pm via video to meet the essential needs of the public. The instructions were as follows:
1. In a supermarket, they can deliver goods to your customers at your location, both electronically and online.
2. Vegetables, fruit vendors and restaurants can distribute vegetables and fruits according to the needs of their customers through their own vehicles.
3. The above supermarkets, merchants and restaurants will have to obtain permits from the Corporation for their lorries and trucks for bulk purchasing and distribution to the customers.
4. A Monitoring Officer has been appointed for each zone. Merchants are requested to contact the respective Zonal Monitoring Officer to meet the essential needs of the public as per the guidelines issued by them and the guidelines announced by the Government of Tamil Nadu. They are advised to observe adequate social space during such service and to wear a face mask and act safely.
