A complete curfew is in place in Tamil Nadu with relaxations as a measure to control the spread of coronavirus. In this context, MK Stalin announced that a full curfew would be imposed from Monday onwards as recommended by the Medical Council due to the continuing increase in the spread. Following this, permission has been granted to open all shops from 6 am to 9 pm tomorrow.
All shops are open in Pollachi today. As the shops opened, auto drivers waited for the ride in anticipation of their livelihood, hoping the public would come out.

However, due to the lack of passengers, the autos stopped at the new bus stand auto stand. Pollachi auto drivers have demanded that the Tamil Nadu government provide relief assistance as their livelihoods have been severely affected by the entire curfew.
