All shops in Pollachi and its surroundings were closed due to corona spread. According to the announcement made by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin today, a complete curfew has been declared without any relaxation from next Monday. Following this, the government has given permission to open all shops from today till 9 pm tomorrow.
In this context, all the shops in Pollachi were reopened as soon as the announcement was made today. Textile shops, grocery stores, electrical appliances and all shops were opened in the malls.
Small and large shops were open and crowds of people flocked to the malls to buy what they needed.
