Autos, omni vans moving in violation of lockdown rule increase risk of spreading Coronavirus


Coimbatore: A complete lockdown has been imposed in Valparai, Coimbatore district to control the second wave of coronavirus.

Grocery, vegetable, milk and meat shops are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. A large number of people have come to Valparai as there is a complete lockdown tomorrow. As part of the complete lockdown state-run public bus, Omni vans, auto, taxis have been banned from operating.



Autos and Omni vans were operating across the town of Valparai today. These vehicles were loaded with at least five to 10 people and this has led to fears that the coronavirus will spread aggressively. Social activists have appealed to the concerned department officials to take appropriate action
