As many as 1,106 people have tested positive for Covid-19 infection in Kinathukadavu area of Coimbatore district as of Thursday. A female sanitary cleaner who lived in the Kinathukadavu RS Road area succumbed to Covid-19 on Thursday.
Due to this, Covid tests were done by the Health Department on both adults and children in the area.
Health officials have warned residents not to leave their homes until test results are available.
