A curfew has been imposed across TamilNadu to prevent the second wave Covid-19 pandemic.
Coimbatore: Valparai has been witnessing a rise in Covid-19 cases. The second wave of Covid-19 pandemic is also increasing in multiple areas of Coimbatore District. To contain the spread, the TamilNadu Government has issued a full lockdown with restrictions.
Essential items like milk, groceries and meat shops are allowed to operate from 6 am to 10 am. But even after that the public were seen out on the roads violating Covid-19 curfew without having any urgent needs.
To contain such movement, Valparai police officials are involved in vehicle checks in the areas of Anna Statue, Old Bus Stand, Stanmore Junction, Gandhi Statue and other areas. They warned the public and even fined some for roaming the streets under false pretense.
