Man arrested for stabbing his brother who attacked his mother and sister in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Toufeeq is from Karumbukadai in Coimbatore. He is jobless and often fights at home to get money. Toufeeq also has a habit of smoking ganja and has a case registered against him. On the eve of Ramzan, Toufeeq as usual was fighting for money and also smashed his brother's cell phone, which was nearby, in a fit of rage. When Toufeeq's mother and sister reprimanded him, Toufeeq became angry and attacked his mother and sister.
Zakir Hussain's brother, who did not react when Toufeeq broke his cell phone as he was aware that Toufeeq used to fight at home frequently, took a nearby knife and stabbed his brother in anger as he attacked his mother and sister. Toufeeq was rushed to the Coimbatore Government Hospital with the help of local and Podanur police went to the spot and registered a case and interrogated him. As Toufee succumbed to injuries in the hospital, his brother, Zakir Hussain, was arrested and jailed for stabbing his brother. Zakir Hussain who was the breadwinner of the family, is being imprisoned as a criminal today due to the misconduct of his sibling and this has caused grief among the people of the area.
