In a statement issued by Valparai Tahsildar Raja to the public, he said, " Government Officials are ordered to undertake important tasks as a prevention against the storm. According to the updates at morning 6 am 70mm rainfall was recorded at the Valparai, 68mm rainfall was recorded at the Tahsildar's Office, 65 mm rainfall was recorded at the Lower Neerar Dam, 69 mm rainfall was recorded at the Upper Neerar Dam and 99 mm rainfall was recorded at the Sholayar Dam.
Revenue officials under Tahsildar Raja are monitoring the situation closely.
