Complete curfew in Kinathukadavu: Fine imposed on those who loiter around without valid reasons

The Government of Tamil Nadu has implemented a full lockdown for two weeks from April 10 to 24 of this month as a Covid-19 prevention measure across the State.


Coimbatore: The Government of Tamil Nadu has implemented a full lockdown for two weeks from April 10 to 24 of this month as a Covid-19 prevention measure in the State. Hence, the Government has granted permission to open only shops that sell groceries, vegetables and meat, and a few other shops selling essential items, till 12 noon.



All shops in the Kinathukadavu area were closed except for these shops that sold essential items.



After 12 noon, all shops too downed shutters and roads in Kinathukadavu were deserted with no movement of people.



Police also set up barricades at the old bus stand and the new bus stand.



Officials stopped people who were traveling on two wheelers and in four wheelers and asked for a valid reason for them venturing out. Public were advised to stay indoors to combat the virus.



The new bus stand and the old bus stand were deserted due to the lack of people.



Similarly, the Revenue Department took action by imposing fines on people who roamed around without wearing masks during lockdown. Village administration officials and workers under Kinathukadavu Revenue Officer Ramaraj ensured Covid-19 protocol was observed strictly near the Kinathukadavu checkpost area.



During the inspection, officials imposed fines and warned public who were travelling on their two wheelers and in fourwheelers without wearing face masks.
