Revenue and Police impose fines on those who roam unnecessarily during complete lockdown in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: A complete lockdown has been imposed in Valparai in Coimbatore district to control the coronavirus. Essentials like Pharmacy, Grocery, Vegetables, Dairy and Restaurant Tea shops for parcels are allowed until 12 noon.
The public is also allowed to come only for essential needs. Since this morning, a large number of people have been coming to Valparai on two-wheelers without any need.

Following this, a team led by Valparai Tahsildar Raja VAO Vijay Amirtaraj and Police Inspector Maheshwari inspected the vehicle at the Gandhi statue premises. They also took action by warning and imposing fine on those who come in unnecessarily during vehicle inspections. They also called and interrogated frequent passers-by on the road and informed them about Covid-19 and warned them not to come out unnecessarily.
