Coimbatore: Prohibition Police officials in Pollachi are conducting various patrols in areas including interior areas of Pollachi to monitor illegal activities such as alcohol brewing, duplicate liquor in the Coimbatore district.

In this situation, 9798.600 liters of alcohol confiscated from various areas as per the government order were destroyed today by District Excise Officer Sivakumar, Pollachi Criminal Arbitration Court 2 Chief Secretary Gauri and Revenue Department Inspector in the presence of fire department officials.

They were taken to the area and set on fire by the Prohibition Police in a deserted place in Pollachi. Prohibition police said they would take stern action against those involved in criminal activities such as illegal brewing and hoarding of liquor bottles during the curfew period.
