Tirupur: Tirupur District Collector Vijayakarthikeyan K today called on the industrialists of the district and gave suggestions regarding the impact of the second wave of Covid-19 infection and how to get rid of it.
District Collector Vijayakarthikeyan said "Tirupur district is one of the most contagious districts in Tamil Nadu due to the high level of occupational activities and one third of the infected people are in industrial contact.
Tirupur, a district that set an example in the country last year in controlling the pandemic and dealing with the migration workers, is due to the co-operations of the District Collector, other public administration officials and selfless voluntary organizations and Industrialists.
3000 beds are ready with oxygen facilities and around 680 persons are being treated as of today. Oxygen capacity has been increased by 1% when compared to last year and fever camps are continuously being held.
Vaccination camps are conducted through the state health department. These are all measures to protect from the infection. But we need to take action to prevent further infection. Factories operating as per government guidelines, getting everyone working to be vaccinated etc.
False social media reports about the vaccine have frightened most people. It is important to take action to allay their fears first.
Instead of waiting for the government to pay for free, you should work with an accredited private hospital near your factory to pay for the vaccine at our expense. Because the industrial city of Tirupur was built by the solidarity of entrepreneurs, industrialists and workers.
