Covid-19 patients who are isolated should not to leave home until the period of isolation is over - Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian

Corporation Commissioner P Kumaravel Pandian today on 30.04.2021 inspected the covid prevention works in the Eastern Zone of Coimbatore Corporation.


Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner P Kumaravel Pandian today on 30.04.2021 inspected the covid prevention works in the Eastern Zone of Coimbatore Corporation.

During the inspection in the East Zone, he visited the isolated houses in Vilankurichi, Ratnagiri Road, AMD Nagar, Income Tax Staff Residence, Ward No32 Sengaliyappan Nagar and other nearby areas. On addressing among the public, Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian said that "the isolated people should not leave the house till the end of the period of isolation which helps in containing the spread of the virus in the isolated areas. Disinfectants will be sprayed on the houses and everyone in the area must wear a face mask."

He then urged the public to adhere to social distancing and washing hands frequently with soap.

Later, the commissioner requested the full support of the public to eradicate this virus in the city.



Following this, the Corporation Commissioner ordered the closure of two private bakeries one operating in Ward No. 32 Cheranmanagar and another private bakeries operating on Saravanampatti Road for non following the government's Covid-d guidelines.



Eastern Regional Assistant Commissioner Murugan, Zonal Health Officer Chandran and other Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
