24-year-old man arrested for marrying and sexually abusing 17-year-old girl near Kinathukkadavu
Coimbatore: A 17-year old girl living near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district and working in a private spinning mill in the area was duped into marrying a 24-year old man working in the same mill.
The man reportedly professed his love for the girl and duped her into marrying him. It is reported that later the man sexually abused the girl and abandoned her saying he did not want to live with her.
The 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged under the POCSO Act for sexually abusing a 17-year girl based on the complaint lodged by her parents who were told about the ordeal by the girl herself. The parents had immediately lodged the complaint against the man at the Kinnathukadavu police station.
