Public demand for clearing out sewage water stagnating in a boat house in Valparai; Complain of stench and risk of infection


Coimbatore: A boat house had been hurriedly set up at Stanmore Road on behalf of the Valparai municipality but has not been in use since then.



Drainage water from residences in Valparai Nagar, Kamaraj Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, New Market, Gaggan Colony and Children's Park was directed to the boat house that had been set up on the river flowing through Kamaraj Nagar.



Due to this, sewage water stagnated in the children's park, emanating a stench and posing risk of infections for people living in the area. The public have thus have demanded for the sewage water to be cleared out immediately.
