Thousands of tourists cab drivers, maxi cab drivers and shopkeepers in the Nilgiris district have been left stranded as they have lost their livelihood due to the shut down of tourist attractions.
With this in mind, District Collector Innocent Divya, on behalf of the District Administration and Club Mahindra, distributed essential items to the tour guides and other public who lost their livelihood.
The event was attended by Sub Collector Monikarana, Regional Manager Venkatesh, Deputy Tahsildar Kupparaj, Assistant Tourism Officer Durgadevi and Club Mahindra Managers Ilayaraja, Vijayakumar, Karthikeyan and many other government officials.
