Summer rains have spruced up tea plantations in Valparai indicating a possible increase in yield
Coimbatore: Valparai and its surrounding areas in Coimbatore district has been enjoying the summer rains the past few days. Since the area has now been receiving adequate sunlight and rainfall, the moderate climate that helps in increasing the yield of tea production has delighted tea farmers.
Tea estates in the area look all spruced up for a good harvest yield owing to the summer rains. Tea workers in Valparai estates are now plucking new leaves, spraying fertilizers and pesticides on plants in anticipation of a higher yield in tea production, this year.
