Police investigated a speeding lorry that had hit a car and found that the lorry was being used to transport cows to Kerala illegally
Coimbatore: Akshaya Dinesh Kumar, a resident of Rakkiyapalayam area on Tirupur Kangayam Road, is the Shiv Sena's State Youth Deputy Secretary.
After finishing his work at Salem, Dinesh Kumar was on his way to Tirupur this morning when a lorry passing by collided into his car near Sengapalli but sped away without stopping. A shocked Dinesh informed the police and followed the lorry.
The lorry reportedly did not stop even when police tried to flag it down near Tekkalur. Dinesh Kumar who had chased down the lorry managed to stop it at Karumathampatti toll gate. The police inspected the lorry and found that cows were being illegally transported int he lorry to Kerala. Following this, the Karumathampatti police are conducting an investigation.
