Anthiyur residents stage road roko on Pollachi-Udumalai Highway condemning lack of drinking water supply
Coimbatore: Condemning the lack of drinking water supply for two weeks in the Anthiyur locality, residents staged a road roko on the Pollachi-Udumalaipettai highway. Anthiyur is located near Udumalaipettai in Tirupur district with over 400 families living in the area.
Residents of Anthiyur lamented that drinking water had not been supplied in the area for the past two weeks, with no action taken on any of the repeated complaints. Hence over 100 residents staged a road roko on the Pollachi-Udumalai Highway carrying empty pots, on Wednesday morning, resulting in traffic disruption.
