Training on vote counting for officials kick-starts in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: In Coimbatore district, training for Government employees and teachers on vote counting for May 2, commenced on Monday.
Kavundampalayam constituency will have 20 rounds of counting votes from EVMs, while in other constituencies, officials plan to hold 14 rounds of counting. About 600 people are expected to be involved in vote counting, which include Government employees and teachers.
The training for these officials kick-started on Monday at the respective constituency centers, led by Election Officers. Officials advised all those involved in the counting of votes to arrive at the counting center by 6 am on May 2. The officials were also informed at the training that they would be tested for Covid-19 on April 29. Prior to the vote counting, a training camp is to be held again.
The training camp at Sidhapudur Government School was presided over by Murugesan, the Election Officer for the North Constituency and Ramkumar, the Election Officer presided at the Training Camp at the Coimbatore South Taluk Office.
